About the author
Mark Schwartz is an enterprise strategist at Amazon Web Services
(AWS) and the author of The Art of Business Value, A Seat at the Table:
IT Leadership in the Age of Agility, War and Peace and IT: Business
Leadership, Technology, and Success in the Digital Age, and The (Delicate)
Art of Bureaucracy: Digital Transformation with the Monkey, the Razor,
and the Sumo Wrestler. Before joining AWS, he was the chief information
officer of the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service, (part
of the Department of Homeland Security), chief information officer
of Intrax, and chief executive officer of Auctiva. He has a MBA from
the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, a Bachelor of
Science in computer science from Yale University, and a Master of Arts in
philosophy from Yale University.
